Second gold and pan-Hellenic record for Bilas

After winning the gold medal in the 50m. freestyle swimming and qualifying for the Olympic Games yesterday (12/8), Stergios Marios Bilas won another gold medal yesterday (13/8) this time in the 50m. butterfly with a Panhellenic record, during the last day of the 1st European Championship for Young Men-Young Women (K23) in Dublin, Ireland.
After winning the gold medal in the 50m. freestyle swimming and qualifying for the Olympic Games yesterday (12/8), Stergios Marios Bilas won another gold medal yesterday (13/8) this time in the 50m. butterfly with a Panhellenic record, during the last day of the 1st European Championship for Young Men-Young Women (K23) in Dublin, Ireland.

With a performance of 23.16, the young swimmer broke Kristian Golomeev's record of 23.19 from 2018 at the European Championships.

Stergios Marios Bilas said after his new success: "My only goal was the gold medal. I had a clear mind, I wanted to finish first and I succeeded. Now it's time for a vacation."

Bilas also showed the part of the platform where the members of the Greek delegation were celebrating this top moment, the new gold medal in the event.

The Austrian Bucher with 23.30 and the Danish Nikkelsen with 23.57 followed our champion who brought the third gold for our country and the sixth overall medal in the competition.
