Korakaki wins gold in women’s 25m air pistol in European Games
Hellenic Olympic shooter Anna Korakaki won first place on Monday at the women’s 25m air pistol shooting sport event of the 3rd European Games in Poland.
Hellenic Olympic shooter Anna Korakaki won first place on Monday at the women’s 25m air pistol shooting sport event of the 3rd European Games in Poland.
Korakaki scored 27 from eight series in the sport’s final at the Wroclaw Shooting Centre to beat the 10m Olympic silver medallist Antoaneta Kostadinova of Bulgaria by one.
Germany’s Doreen Vennekamp completed the top three with 18 from six series.
The Games are being held from 21 June to 2 July in Krakow and Malopolska.

Delighted after the new great distinction with which she credited her racing resume, the "golden" Olympian of Rio de Janeiro wanted to share her feelings with a post on social media.
Her message: "GOLD at the third European Games for our Greece!! With this, I defended my title for the second time in a row, since in the previous European Games 4 whole years ago in Minsk, I had won the same race! Not long after gold medals at the pan-European championships & the world cup, this accolade comes to seal a highly successful year so far! Thank you all for the messages and support! I will come back with a new post with special thanks, because I am far from alone in these successes...".
