Athens & Kyiv affirm ties - Zelensky thanks Mitsotakis 'for his personal commitment to the Ukrainian-Greek partnership'

President of the Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday thanked Hellenic Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis "for his personal commitment to the Ukrainian-Greek partnership," he wrote on Twitter.
President of the Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday thanked Hellenic Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis "for his personal commitment to the Ukrainian-Greek partnership," he wrote on Twitter.

"Grateful to Greece for joining the G7 Declaration of Support, the 14th country to support security guarantees for Ukraine," he wrote, and after thanking the Greek premier he added that, "we keep working together on Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic path."

Moreover, Hellenic Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis had a reportedly warm telephone conversation on Friday with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba.

Gerapetritis stressed that Athens encourages all international initiatives aimed at restoring Ukraine’s sovereignty and preventing humanitarian crises.

For his part, Ukraine’s foreign minister thanked his Greek counterpart for Greece’s support for the G7 Joint Statement in support of Ukraine.
