Greece ranked 6th for children's rights and conditions in KidsRights Index Report 2023
Greece was ranked 6th out of 193 countries worldwide in the KidsRights Index Report 2023 released by the Netherlands-based NGO KidsRights.
Greece was ranked 6th out of 193 countries worldwide in the KidsRights Index Report 2023 released by the Netherlands-based NGO KidsRights.
The report said that children throughout the world were suffering as a result of a "polycrisis of unprecedented levels" experienced across the globe, due to the cost-of-living crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, as well as the impacts of climate change, conflict and environmental disasters.
With one in four children worldwide living below the poverty line, Greece was ranked sixth after Germany for having the best living conditions for children, while the top places were occupied by Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Luxembourg.
