The second round of the Greek parliamentary elections takes place today. Voting centers have been open since 07:00 and will close at 19:00.

A total of 9,813,595 Greek citizens (4,763,264 men and 5,050,331 women) are registered to vote at 21,634 voting centers throughout Greece.

Voting for the new government and the 300 deputies are Greek citizens who are 17 (those who have turned 17 within 2023 and are signed up to vote) or older. Voting  in Greece is mandatory, according to the Constitution and elections legislation, but there are exceptions: those over 70 years of age, those who are abroad during election day, and those who are not able to vote for reasons of health. Also exempted are those who signed up to vote but fewer than 40 voters signed up in their voting region, cancelling the setting up of a voting center.

Details for finding out where one votes are available on the Interior Ministry's site https://mpp.ypes.gov.gr/#/ (in Greek), which is also available through the Gov.gr platform. Voting centers accept the mobile ID uploaded on the government platform of https://wallet.gov.gr.

Police departments that issue police IDs (taftotita) and passports will remain open during both Saturday and Sunday.
