Large rally and march to the Israeli embassy with the main slogan "Freedom in Palestine"
The rally started from the Freedom Park and followed a march to the Israeli embassy, in front of which the demonstrators spent half an hour, with the central slogan, "Freedom in Palestine". At the head of the march was a huge Palestinian flag.
Earlier in the Freedom Park, Pantelis Perdikis, member of the Secretariat of the Hellenic Committee for International Recession and Peace, Sotiris Poulikogiannis, president of the Metal and Shipbuilding Industry Union of Greece, and Pavlos Alexandrakis, secretary of the Athens Builders' Union, addressed a greeting.
During the rally in the Freedom Park, the Greek government's stance "abstaining from the UN vote on Jordan's resolution for a humanitarian truce in Gaza" was denounced by those gathered.
The gathering was attended by a large delegation of the KKE led by members of the Politburo. The ambassador of the Palestinian Authority, Youssef Dorhom, also attended.
At the gathering, a message of thanks was read to PAME and the labor unions of the General Union of Palestinian Workers, while the rally was welcomed by the Palestinian Parish, the Palestinian House and their members.
